Hexion will host our Spring Industry Advisory Board Meeting at their Corporate Headquarters
in Columbus, Ohio. Use the
John Glen Columbus International Airport (CMH) if air travel is required. The
Technical Committee meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, and conclude mid-afternoon on Thursday with an engaging research planning session.
The Executive Committee meeting will begin on Thursday afternoon, April 16, ending late afternoon. Executive Committee members
are encouraged to participate in Wednesday evening's social event at
The Kitchen,
231 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus. All IAB members and faculty are invited to participate in Thursday's research planning session, to start immediately following
the IAB TC Closed-Door session. The cost for extra participants for this meeting (beyond three per member) will be US$395 per person.
You are responsible for registering for the meeting (the case sensitive password is WBC),
and for making your own hotel reservation. A block of rooms has been reserved at the
the
Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel, 50 North Third Street, Columbus, Ohio. A special room rate of US$139.00 per night has been negotiated with the hotel.
You must make your reservation on or before Friday, March 20, 2020, as rooms will be released to
the public at this time and the special rate will no longer be offered. Reservations can be made
through Marriott's online system, or by calling Renaissance's Group Reservations
at 877-901-6632, and asking for the "WBC Room Block". We have contracted a limited number of hotel rooms, so make your reservations early and we will be allowed to
increase the room count to accomodate everyone.
Internet access and valet parking are available at the Renaissance for US$14.95 and US$28.00 per day, respectively. Self-parking is not available at this hotel.
The best way to get from the airport to the hotel is via taxi or a ride-share service (Uber or Lyft). Hexion's building is within easy walking distance of the hotel, and
there are many good restaurants in the area, so a car will not be required. The evening social event will require a taxi or ride-share service, or a longer walk; the Center
will not be providing transportation.
